The Naish House

Romantic Villa

House Details

This beautiful suite is the center of J. Carroll Naish’s 1930s villa. Naish was a character actor who launched his prolific film career on the cusp of the transition from silent films to talkies (between 1926 and 1930), eventually appearing in nearly 200 films. He lived in this main house in the center of the 1930s Mediterranean Villa, which blends the charm of Southern Europe with North African accents.

Naish House is a romantic hideaway, with limewashed walls, vaulted ceilings, a wood-burning fireplace, breakfast nook, dining room, full kitchen, stone bathtub, a sunroom and a private open-air shower. Its centerpiece is the dramatic hand-carved four-poster queen-size bed.

Ideal as a groomsmen’s hub during weddings, the historic small villa can host a 20-guest cocktail reception and comfortably accommodate a 12-guest seated dinner.
