Auric House appears just as it did when it was central to the neighborhood’s social scene, the home of a prominent local hotel owner who was also the rumored inspiration for the Buster Brown comic strip character penned by his father. A rare example of a carefully preserved early Palm Springs home influenced by Mediterranean climes, its hand-cut stone floors and thick adobe walls are now the foundation of a contemporary, easy retreat.

Auric House can accommodate 12 guests in its six bedrooms, including in two casitas that are separate from the main house. Where Korakia is an adults-only petite resort, the private Auric House welcomes children. Ideal for multigenerational getaways, relaxing friends’ or couples’ trips, it is also a great option for housing guests attending a wedding at Korakia—or as the ultimate private compound for the newlyweds themselves. Its layout—main house and casitas surrounding a central courtyard pool—lends it to wellness getaways or small company retreats.
