  • PALM SPRINGS AERIAL TRAMWAY

    Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is the world's largest rotating tram and it is rumored that on a clear day you can see all the way to Mexico! Traveling from the Valley Station at 2,643 feet above sea level to the Mountain Station at 8,516 feet above sea level, the tram takes you through the same flora and fauna that you would if you took a road trip from the Sonora Desert of Mexico to the Transitional Zone of Alaska. There are several restaurants at the top and plenty of hiking. Be prepared for a dramatic change in temperature when you get to the top! Cars depart at least every half hour with the first car up Monday-Friday at 10am; first car up weekends and holiday periods at 8am. Beginning Labor Day Weekend the last car up is 8pm with the last car down at 9:45pm. Beginning Memorial Day Weekend the last car up is 9pm with the last car down at 10:30pm. The Tramway will be closed for Annual Maintenance September 8 - October 3, 2008.
